Rising Curtain is BURSTING with BABY and WEDDING NEWS!
BABY NEWS:
Claire Le Borgne (Mrs. Potts, Disney's "Beauty & The Beast") welcomed Remington Joshua LeBorgne on
September 19th.
Cathy Thulson (tech assistance on past shows) & her husband welcomed Caiden Edward on July 2nd and her
sister, Jennifer (tech assistance on past shows) and husband, Troy, welcomed Veronica Lee on August 27th.
Maggie Pines (tech, "Sound of Music", Disney's "High School Musical") welcomed baby Johsua in November.
WEDDING NEWS:
Bethany Krebs (Wardrobe, aka Madame de la Grand Bouche) is engaged to be married in March of 2008. She &
her fiancee, Camden, are a wonderful couple who have waited for this day for a very long time. Congratulations,
Madame!
Gaston did get the girl, after all!
Ariel Ellis (Belle, Disney's "Beauty & The Beast") and Tony DeWitt (Gaston, Disney's "Beauty & The Beast)
recently announced their engagement. The wedding is planned for July 4, 2008.
Isaiah Farago (Beast, Disney's "Beauty & The Beast") and Elizabeth McDonald (Ensemble, Disney's "Beauty &
The Beast") have announced their engagement. The wedding is planned for March.
James DeWitt (Ensemble, "Shenandoah") & Melanie Meers (Ensemble, "Shenandoah" and soon-to-be Amayzing
Mayzie in "Seussical") are engaged as well. The wedding is planned for August of 2008.

At our annual "Curtain Call" event, it was time again to induct new members into our troupe with the International Thespian Society. Current ITS Members include: Ariel Ellis, Rachel Irvin, Geoffrey Lohr, Kelly Oury and Amanda Wittek. Many thanks to everyone who attended our "Curtain Call" event. It was a special evening. Several of our
performers received special recognition for their efforts in recent shows. Remember, the emphasis here is NOT
on the award, but on celebrating ALL that we have accomplished TOGETHER!

Our Graduates- The Class of 2008
Ally Pines
Ally is a treasure on stage and off, having
helped with tech on productions of “Beauty
& The Beast”, “The Sound of Music”,
“Miracle on 34th Street”, Disney’s “High
School Musical” and many others. She
was part of our trip to London last
summer. On stage, Ally has been seen in
the ensemble of “Damn Yankees” and will
play Princess #12/Kitchen Wench in the
upcoming “Once Upon A Mattress”. She
will graduate from Denver School of the
Arts on May 22nd and plans to attend
Casper College, where she will major in
technical theatre.
Melissa Deni
Melissa first came to us just last summer as she played Gabriella Montez
in Disney’s “High School Musical”. She is playing Gertrude McFuzz in
“Seussical” in May and was part of our trip to Musical Theatre
Competitions of America in February. She is graduating from Cherry
Creek High School in May and is currently deciding on a college program.

Sean Moritzky
Sean has been a regular performer with Rising Curtain since our
beginning and has acted in productions with our school director for many
more. He was the broom/townsperson in Disney’s “Beauty & The Beast”,
and played the Commissioner and a Ballplayer in “Damn Yankees” last
year. He will be seen at King Sextimus in “Once Upon A Mattress” in
April. He has been part of a trip to Musical Theatre Competitions of
America. Sean is a gifted harpist who is currently weighing his
scholarship options and colleges- he has been accepted at 6 schools. He
will graduate with the H.O.P.E. Program May 31st.

Jaclyn O’Hara
Jaclyn has acted with our school director since she
was 12. She has played the
enchantress/plate/townsperson in Disney’s “Beauty
& The Beast”, had a cameo role in “The Sound of
Music”, was Doris in “Damn Yankees”, a maid in
“Miracle on 34th Street”, the ensemble of Disney’s
“High School Musical” and will next play Lady
Larken in “Once Upon A Mattress” in April. Jaclyn
has been part of our trip to Musical Theatre
Competitions of America three times and traveled
to London with us last summer. She is a staff
member at Rising Curtain, having choreographed
this year’s “Cinderella” and assisted with
choreography on “Damn Yankees” and “Hugh
School Musical” as well as teaching many of our off-
site classes. She currently attends Red Rocks
Community College and will graduate from the H.O.
P.E. Program May 31st. She plans to continue at
Red Rocks next year.

Kelly Oury
Kelly has been acting with our school director since
she was 8. At Rising Curtain, she has played an
enchanted object/townsperson in Disney’s “Beauty
& The Beast”, Sister Bertha in “The Sound of
Music”, Mr. Gimble in “Miracle on 34th Street”, Lola
in “Damn Yankees” and will next play the Minstrel in
“Once Upon A Mattress”. She has also taught and
assisted on several classes for younger students
and was assistant director on Disney’s “Aladdin”.
Kelly was part of our trip to Musical Theatre
Competitions of America for three trips. She has
been accepted to several schools, but really wants
to attend UNC in Greeley. Time will tell- she is
supposed to know at the middle- end of March
whether she has been accepted into their musical
theatre program. She will graduate from the H.O.P.
E. Program May 31st and currently attends Red
Rocks Community College.
Kelly is a gift to everyone who knows her. Thank you for being our friend!
